How to get the right proposal

Getting the proposal to your partner right is the first start to showing the growth to your relationship and as they say taking it to the next level.

Popping the question doesn’t always have to be traditional. The lady in a heterosexual relationship can propose to your man.

Making this special, passionate and a precious memory. When you propose to your partner this is just the start to the next step of planning your wedding.

The first step to making this happen is a few things

- A date

- Time

- Location

This could be set around an anniversary of being together, a birthday, Christmas. The date and location you get engaged is the most special and most remembered points. Once this has been worked out the finer details can then be thought about. What I strongly recommend is that it is planned and not a jump in moment.

For a more traditional engagement some couples the male would ask the dad for the hand in marriage and a family affair.

Questions I commonly get asked about are:

- How do I find out a ring size

- How can I make it romantic

The answers to this are to find out a ring size take a existing ring that your partner has in her jewellery box and take it to the jewellers to get it sized. The bigger the diamond you may need to go up in a size as this can put pressure on the finger. Rings can be resized or exchanged if there was a problem.

Making it romantic this has many different meanings to many different couples. Places can be in many different ways this could be afternoon tea, a picnic, and ice skating rink. A romantic place can be where is suitable and hold memories for you as individuals rather than what other couples have done as everyone is different.
